Private lessons and group classes are available in Denver, CO. Lessons are available in our home studio or in your home in Denver and the surrounding areas.
Luke Rackers offers private piano lesson to beginning through early advanced students as well as music composition classes for a variety of ages and beginning piano group classes. Lessons are available for all ages and all walks of life. We have experience teaching students from ages 4-94, and everywhere in between! Private lessons focus on a variety of styles, including classical, jazz, and other styles. Luke has developed group classes for composition and beginning piano to help make learning fun and communal.
We strive to continually improve our teaching skills, our musicianship, and our educational philosophy. Our lessons and classes are available to anyone, regardless of age, race, religion, gender, orientation, economic circumstance, or physical or mental disability. Music is for EVERYONE!
Our lessons and classes are comprehensive and focus on creating life-long learners and lovers of music. In order to provide a well-rounded education and curriculum, we teach many different skills including technique, repertoire development, musicianship, music theory, music history, ear training, reading music, improvisation, sight reading, and how to perform in public. Performance classes are available as part of each student’s lesson plan and curriculum and our group classes provide valuable opportunities to learn music with others. Students will have an opportunity for optional recitals, festivals, and other student gatherings several times a year. The four main areas of lessons include: learning the craft of playing or composing, making our own music through composing and/or improvising, playing the music of others over all time periods including present day, and learning to listen to music with fresh ears and an open mind.
