Piano Lessons:

Independent piano lessons are for people of all ages, levels, and ability, regardless of background. These lessons focus on all areas of music (technique, reading music, repertoire, rhythm, ear training, sight-playing, theory, improvisation, history, etc.), with a goal of creating life-long expressive musicians. Independent students can choose either a classical or jazz emphasis or both. Lessons focus on the individual’s learning style and curriculum is developed based on each student’s needs and desires. Performance classes, recitals, festivals, and workshops are available to all private piano students.

Partner piano lessons, similar to group piano for kids, are great for friends who are starting piano lessons at the same time and want to learn together. Students are driven by one another’s progress and have fun learning music together. Duets abound in this setting, which aids in the student’s development of communication with one another.

Improvisation for Healing class:

Improvisation for healing is an outlet for musicians and non-musicians alike to express themselves in a musical setting. You do not have to be a trained musician or vocalist to take this class. Every person has something to add to the improvisation, whether it is through their instrument, voice, or percussive body. These classes aid in tension and emotional release, and can heal the body, mind, and soul through creative stimulation and release. This class is by donation only.
